The Stocktwits Top 25 reports the 25 best-performing stocks in the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Russell 2000 year to date (YTD), and tracks their performances over time.

ST Top 25 S&P 500
The ST Top 25 S&P 500 list got ripped apart in week 24. 22 of 25 names closed negative.
Nvidia burst onto the scene, gaining 4.5% as a Freshman. Read more below.
$NUE decreased 12.7% and gave up a ranking. The energy company was the list’s biggest loser, you can find it on the Sinners list below.
5 Freshmen debuted on the list. They include; $XOM, $IT, $COP, $GOOG, and $NVDA.
The Stocktwits Top 25 S&P 500 Momentum Meter lost 5.14% while the S&P 500 gained 1.91%. The 3.23% differential in favor of the full index shows the top stocks underperformed the full index by a large amount.
The Big Cap Nasdaq 100
The ST Top 25 N100 gave back some gains this week. 17/25 names closed red.
DocuSign made the list’s biggest move, launching from nothing to #13. $DOCU increased 8.5% and is a Winner below.
$WBA, the biggest loser, plunged 8.1% and dropped three spots from #5 to #8.🩸 Check it out below.
Four Freshmen made the list. The names are DocuSign, PayPal, IDEXX Laboratories, and Microsoft.
The ST Top 25 Nasdaq 100 Momentum Meter lowered 1.83% in Week 24 while the full Nasdaq 100 climbed 0.37%. The 2.2% difference shows the top stocks performed were weaker than the full index.
Small-Cap Russell 2000
The ST Top 25 R2K List was overwhelmingly red, a rare sight to see.
19 of 25 names closed lower.
Anavex Life Sciences erupted 43% and improved 15 spots. The Top Dawg is now ranked #5. 💪
$AMC ascended another 20% and leads $SAVA by over 1,500%.
5 new stocks appeared on the ST Top 25 Russell 2000 list. The names include $AMEH, $EGLE, $AMRS, $GNK, and $GRTS.
The ST Top 25 R2K Momentum Meter decreased 2.81% while the Russell 2000 index surrendered 4.2%. The 1.39% differential shows the top stocks are still much stronger than the full index.
ST Top 25 TOP DAWG OF THE WEEK 🐶
The ST Top 25 Top Dawg for Week 24, 2021 is #5 R2K – Anavex Life Sciences.
Anavex Life Sciences ascended 43% in Week 24 after two of the company’s key pipeline medications were highlighted favorably in a peer-reviewed study recently published in a medical publication.
$AVXL was boosted from #20 to #5 by the strong performance.
The scientific paper highlights:
- Sigma-1 receptor (SIGMAR1)’s expression increases with age, however in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) it decreases
- The decrease in SIGMAR1 expression during AD coincides with an age-related decrease in autophagy
- The SIGMAR1 may compensate for loss of receptors and autophagic machinery during healthy aging
- SIGMAR1 is activated by ANAVEX-compounds
- ANAVEX®2-73 has been shown to induce autophagy
- Activation of the SIGMAR1 can induce cytoprotective autophagic pathways
$AXVL is up 310% YTD.
The Winners 📈
△ #25 S&P 500 – Nvidia gained 4.56% in Week 24 and debuted on the ST Top 25 N100 List as a Freshman. It’s ranked #25.
$NVDA traded quietly Monday thru Wednesday until the spark lit on Thursday. The semi soared 4.8% Thursday.💣
The semiconductor has outperformed fellow semis as of late. Here’s the daily chart of $NVDA vs the VanEck Semiconductor ETF, $SMH. 📈
$NVDA is up 42.8% YTD.
△ #13 N100 – DocuSign does not stop. The software company ripped 8.5% to all-time highs. It’s now ranked thirteenth as a Freshman.
$DOCU has closed green five weeks in a row, up 47% in that period.

$DOCU is up 23.45% YTD.
The Sinners 📉
▼ #3 S&P 500 – Nucor Corp sank 12.7% this week as if it were tied down with lead weights. The energy company was demoted a spot on the ST Top 25 N100 List to #3.
$NUE split wide open 3.65% on Monday and proceeded to close lower Tuesday through Friday.

Commodity weakness drug the entire energy sector down into the week’s end.
We’ll see if $NUE gets any love next week. It’s up 75% YTD.
▼ #8 N100 – Walgreens Boots Alliance was a weakling on the ST Top 25 N100 List. $WBA was the biggest loser on the list, wallowing 8%.
On Tuesday, Walgreens announced a collaboration with Uber to offer products directly on the Uber Eats platform to customers across the U.S. Everything from beauty care, medication, to household essentials can be delivered to customers.

▼ #11 R2K – Tellurian told the story of the ST Top 25 R2K List this week. The oil and gas company toppled 18.2% from #8 to #11.
While the last two weeks have been a crapshoot for $TELL, a hint of good news occurred on Monday. It was announced that Tellurian will be added to the Russell Microcap Index effective June 28 after the market opens.
$TELL is still up 202% YTD.
