Stocks closed strong. The small-caps continued to outperform. The Dow was down no thanks to Intel

Communications and consumer discretionary led while tech and energy lagged. 

Bitcoin is bouncing between ~12,700 and ~13,250. The crypto had a strong week. We’ll check back on Monday.

Boston Beer beat earnings. $SAM was strong. See more below.

Snap still streaks. The “camera company” was up 55% this week.

Earnings Round-Up

American Express reported earnings this morning. The credit card company missed earnings estimates and exceeded revenue estimates. 

Here are the numbers:

EPS: $1.30 vs $1.35 est.
Revenue: $8.75B -20.4% YoY

$AXP charged -3.5%.

Boston Beer beat earnings estimates by a boatload. $SAM soared. 

Here are the numbers:

EPS: $6.51 vs $4.63 est.
Revenue: $492.79M +30.2% YoY

$SNAP Still Streaks

The stock is up 55% this week after smashing earnings on Tuesday. Some may think of Snap as a social media company but don’t be fooled… It’s a camera company. lol

Borat 2 is Here. Very Nice 

Borat 2 is out. And it’s quite the controversy. 

Sacha Baron Cohen brings his daughter to America in the film featuring scenes with American celebrities and politicians.  

Some are not too happy about their feature appearances, though. Rudy Giuliani said: 

At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar.

Queen of Nasdaq

Ann Dennison is the new CFO of Nasdaq. She now leads one of five companies in the S&P 500 with female executives. 

With 20 years of experience in the industry, Dennison is Nasdaq’s former controller and chief accounting officer. She was also Goldman Sachs’ lead financial reporter and previously audited for PwC.

Dennison will replace current CFO Michael Ptasznik in February 2021. Nasdaq’s CEO said this about her promotion: 

Ann is a dedicated leader with a deep understanding of our business and our long-term vision. She has made significant contributions to Nasdaq’s financial soundness in her five years with the company and her diligence and expertise will be significant factors in our growth strategy. 

Game On In NEON

The world’s largest video game exhibit is using neon lights to bring gamers back to the glory days. 

The Game On exhibit in Madrid doesn’t just look amazing. Guests are able to play 150 of the most iconic video games in history, too.
