Good afternoon folks and welcome to the Stocktwits Top 25 Newsletter for Week #25, 2020.

The Stocktwits Top 25 reports the top 25 performing stocks in the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Russell 2000 year to date (YTD) and tracks their performances over time.

Here’s your Stocktwits Top 25 Lists for Week #25:

ST Top 25 SP500

It was an historic week. For the first time ever, every single stock in the ST S&P 500 Top 25 closed the week positive. Incredible. 15 of the 25 closed up more than 5%.

Here’s the ST Top 25 for the S&P 500 Week #25:

The Stocktwits Momentum Meter calculates the average weekly performance of the top 25 stocks and reflects how the top stocks are performing week to week relative to the broader index.

The S&P 500 Momentum Meter gained 5.63% while the full S&P 500 Index gained 1.86%. This +3.77% differential suggests that the strongest stocks in the index are outperforming. The winners just keep on winning.

The Big Cap Nasdaq 100

All 25 stocks in the ST Top 25 N100 also closed higher. What a sweep! 6 of the 25 closed up 9% or more.

#1 Zoom continues its epic run up another 11%. See more below.

Have a look:

The ST Top 25 Nasdaq 100 Momentum Meter jumped 6.01% while the full N100 jumped 3.54%. The +2.55% differential suggests that the top stocks YTD continue to outperform.

Small-Cap Russell 2000

23 of the ST Top 25 R2K stocks closed higher. 9 of them closed up more than 20%. Sweet Georgia Brown!

This list was the icing on the MoMo Cake! Have a look…

The small-cap Russell 2000 Index posted a modest gain of 1.97% last week while the ST Top 25 Russell 2000 Momentum Meter surged 18.68%.

Ridiculous. 😜

The average WEEKLY return for the top performing stocks YTD in the Russell 2000 was almost 20%. It tells you a lot about what kind of market we’re in. Again, winners win.

#1 Novavax rose 40%. LOL!

ST Top 25 TOP DAWG OF THE WEEK 🐶

The Top Dawg of the Week for Week #25 is Dexcom. The medical equipment company posted a weekly gain of 10.57%, bringing its YTD performance up to 87.14%. Freaking rocket ship 🚀

Dexcom held the #1 spot on the ST Top 25 S&P 500 and checked in at #3 in the ST Top 25 Nasdaq 100.

Here’s the daily chart. The stock is trading just under all time highs from early May. Is $DXCM ready for the next leg higher? Place your bets…

For those interested in the financials, here’s Dexcom’s latest earnings

The Winners 📈

△  #2 S&P 500 – Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc held at #2 for the third week in a row on the ST Top 25 S&P 500 list.

This is a promising COVID play and in a momentum based market that’s 🔥

The stock is up a cool 71% YTD.

The YTD chart and Friday’s breakout candle is a Picasso for technicians 🎨

△  #9 N100 – Seattle Genetics, Inc. aged like a fine wine this week, it just kept improving as time passed.

The stock advanced 12.50% and traded up everyday.

Similar to $REGN, $SGEN closed at an all time high on Friday with authority. Sweet breakout.

This isn’t just your grandma buying. It’s now up 49% YTD.

△ #1 R2K – Novavax, Inc. gained 42% this week like it was no biggie. $NVAX has finished in the top spot on the ST Top 25 R2K list every week since the inception of the ST Top 25 back in May.

It’s leading the 2nd place name by nearly 1000%.

If you have been in this name for a while, welp, you’re buying the next round pal cause you got them fat money bags bro 💰💰💰

Keep an eye peeled to see if it can extend its YTD gain of 1,572% into Q3👀

Admire this textbook wedge break with us.

△ #1 N100 – Zoom Video Communications inc, is it any surprise to see this name in the top spot of the ST Top 25 N100 list once again? Nope.

$ZM rose 9% on Monday alone and finished the week with another new all time closing high.

It is up 258% YTD.

△ #10 N100 – BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. gained 9 spots on the ST Top 25 N100 list thanks to a colossal 17% week.

$BMRN closed at an all time high on Friday with volume running 184% above average. It can’t be a coincidence to see the iShares Nasdaq Biotech ETF break out of a 5 year base and to see $BMRN hit a 52-week high.

△ #14 R2K – MacroGenics Inc debuted this week on the ST Top 25 R2K at #14. The stock didn’t disappoint, ripping 44%. Well done Freshman.

$MGNX ramped 10% on Monday and then ramped 10% again on Wednesday and Friday 😳

The Sinners 📉

Not a lot of losers out there among the top stocks across the indices but here are a couple that underachieved relative to the hoedown that was week $25.

▼ #15 S&P500 – eBay Inc was up 1.32% this week. It was the ST Top 25 S&P 500’s smallest gainer.

$EBAY chopped around a bit but it didn’t gain or lose more than 1% any day of the week. On June 4th, the stock opened up 10% but since then it has only filled the gap and faded.

It’s still up a tidy 35% YTD.

▼ #23 N100 – Lululemon Athletica Inc was the worst performing name in the ST Top 25 N100 list but it still closed positive for the week. It gained a third of a percent but fell 6 spots from #17 to #23.

$LULU has rallied over 100% from its low on March 18th, it’s only fair that it takes a breather. Namaste 🙏🏻
